The Wheel of Violence
The Wheel of Violence (also known as the “Power and Control Wheel”) is an educational tool that shows how abusers use various tactics to gain and maintain control over their partner. The center of the wheel represents power and control, while the outer circles illustrate specific forms of abuse and manipulation.

Safe houses
Within the Counseling Center, Safe Houses have also been established where women and children who are victims of domestic violence receive psychosocial support, assistance from professional staff, legal aid from an attorney, safe accommodation, food, personal hygiene supplies, and various educational programs. During their stay in a Safe House, women are supported in becoming empowered, independent, and in developing self-respect and the respect of others. During this time, they begin to believe in themselves and to recognize their own value.
Stay in the Safe Houses is formally limited to three months, but women remain on average five to six months, as the length of stay directly depends on the level of risk they face. The greater the threat posed by the abuser, the longer the stay, lasting until the situation is resolved.
